In support of Breast Cancer Awareness (and prevention) the Philadelphia affiliate is hosting the Pink Tie Ball Extravaganza. The 10th anniversary event will be unlike any other Pink Tie Ball. Moving the entire evening to the brand new multi-million-dollar Cescaphe dining, entertainment and banquet facility, this annual fundraiser is being taken to the extreme. With the goal of doubling their fundraising and attendance, the Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has big things in mind including entertainment, auctions, dinner, and even an after party. Also Being hosted at Cescaphe is the Tickled Pink Teens for a Cure Fashion Show from Macy’s which features Philadelphia native and Season 8 Project Runway, designer Kristin Haskin Simms. This event will give hope for the cure with a DJ, silent auctions, give aways, and a photo booth. For more information on these special events visit komenphiladelphia.org.
This month Philadelphia sports teams are also getting in on the fight against Breast Cancer. Michael Vick and other players can be seen sporting pink gloves, socks, and cleats on the field. You can also support the cause and your team with official Eagles Breast Cancer Awareness gear. Make this jersey your own with falls greatest accessories to complete a fashion forward game worthy look. For the soccer fans the Union Vs. NY Red Bulls on Oct. 16 is Breast Cancer Awareness Night. This is the Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative to help in the fight against breast cancer and all proceeds will benefit Breast Cancer Research.
