Tayyib's Beat:
Marsha Ambrosius
Philly 360° Creative Ambassador Marsha Ambrosius (formerly of the duo Floetry) grabs our attention once again with her newest album, Late Nights & Early Mornings. She's an extraordinary songwriter with a beautiful voice, who touches on heavy but necessary topics through heartfelt lyrics.
She excels at making contemporary music — music that's acceptable on radio — with classic, timeless content. Her voice is exceptional, whether performing her songs or freestyling. I've seen her on a host of different levels. Whether she performs with a DJ or band, she's always at the top of her game.
Although she's a British transplant, Marsha has been in Philly for a decade, and she embodies the soul of the native Philadelphian.
Be sure to catch her April 4 at the Theatre of the Living Arts with Melanie Fiona. Get your tickets here.
