Just Announced:

The Roots To Headline Philly's Fourth of July Jam, Wawa Welcome America!

 

Philly is the birthplace of independence. And, it doesn't get more Philly than hometown icons and hip hop legends The Roots headlining the city's biggest independence celebration, Wawa Welcome America!--and the Legendary Roots Crew are bringing the summer heat.

?uestlove of The Roots is the musical director of Philly’s Fourth of July Jam, and he's filling the stages with Earth, Wind and Fire, Estelle, Sara Bareilles, DJ Jazzy Jeff and more! 

There will be a tribute to legendary hit makers Gamble & Huff to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Philadelphia International Records

And, there will also be a heavy jazz, blues and gospel presence this year at Wawa Welcome America! with Aaron Neville, Gerald Veasley, Hezekiah Walker and others performing at  Wawa Welcome America!’s Taste of Philadelphia.

About Wawa Welcome America!

Wawa Welcome America! is an 11 day long celebration in Philly that kicks off on June 24 and ends July 4. With three firework shows, concerts curated by ?uestlove, lots of food (and we do mean a lot!) and more, Philly is definitely the place to celebrate.
