Who isn't hype for the Roots Picnic? For the past six years, the livest acts in music have come to Festival Pier to deliver one of the illest showcases in entertainment. It doesn't get better than that!

This year's Roots Picnic lineup has finally been announced, and the performances are sure to go harder than ever. The sixth annual showcase is returning with an eclectic mix of some of the hottest artists in hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues and country. Get ready for swagged out performances by Gary Clark Jr.Macklemore & Ryan LewisTrinidad Jame$Solange and a show-stopping set with hip-hop legends Naughty By Nature backed by The Roots.

Homegrown superstars, The Roots, are known as the hardest working band in music. The GRAMMY winning band continue to wow fans with their lyricism, live shows and unique collaborations. Gary Clark Jr., a guitar virtuoso whose roots run deep in blues, jazz, soul, country and hip-hop influences, has taken 2012 by storm and continues to amaze in 2013. Clark has performed at festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza - and now he's bringing his talents to The Roots Picnic. Hip-hop vets, Naughty By Nature, have remained true to their roots in the rap game while also reaching the heights of mainstream success throughout their 20+ years in music. And Seattle duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is making serious waves in the hip-hop word with their electrifying shows, skillfully blended music and creative music videos. DJ Premier will also be on set to keeping things going on the turntables.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 25 at noon. Purchase your tickets ASAP, because this year's Roots Picnic is sure to sell out, like it does every year. And be ready to get your money's worth--the showcase never dissapoints.
