Your guide to Philly's diverse creative scene, nightlife, music, food & more
Next up in our Philly 360° Creative Ambassador series is media entrepreneur and rising entertainment industry exec Brandon Pankey.
This Philly native is definitely someone you should keep an eye on over the next few years. Billboard magazine already picked up on some of the moves that this young entrepreneur has been making—moves that landed him on the coveted Billboard 30 Under 30 in the music industry list.
So what exactly does Brandon do? He spends most of his day-to-day time as an account manager at Sports & Entertainment Financial Group, LLC (SEFG), managing clients like Lil’ Wayne, Jill Scott, Meek Mill and Keri Hilson, to name a few. You can usually catch him on-site at concerts making sure that tours and shows run smoothly, or you’ll find him handling finances and implementing brand strategies for his clients.
Brandon is also committed to giving back to the community and improving the quality of life for Philly youth. He co-founded Destined to Achieve Successful Heights program (DASH), which provides opportunities for students to learn about the entertainment industry while also learning how to become innovative thinkers and leaders. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Jill Scott’s Blues Babe Foundation.
Brandon will also be venturing into technology in 2013, so look out for what his next project will be. Like we said, you’re going to want to pay attention to what Brandon is up to in the next few years.
We took Brandon out to a few of his favorite spots in Philly. Watch the video below and see Philly through his eyes. And, check out his full profile here.
