Jill Scott: The Light of the Sun Listening Party

We love us some Jill. And, the Philly soulstress' album The Light of the Sun drops today!

Jill stopped by Clear Channel's Xfinity Performance Space for an exclusive album listening party last week. And, we were on site as she gave some lucky fans an up close and personal look at her newest release.

It's a hip-hop infused album which includes: Doug E. Fresh beat boxing over ragtime-style piano on "All Cried Out Redux;" Eve - another Philly favorite - on the single "Shame;"  Paul Wall lacing the track on "So Gone;" and the freestyle studio session that became "Le BOOM Vent Suite," which includes Philly musicians like Spanky McCurdy backing her up.
