Named one of the “Artists to Watch in 2011” by MTV, singer and songwriter Miguel reaches a diverse audience with his eclectic musical background that draws from modern hip hop, funk, classic rock and the cultural influences of his Mexican father and African-American mother. The twenty-four-year old artist has already penned songs for Mary J. Blige, Usher and Asher Roth and is enjoying success of his debut album, All I Want Is You.
Describing his style as a “mashup of Prince, Lenny Kravitz and Pharell Williams”, the young crooner – who has worked Philly’s own super-producers Dre & Vidal – bring his new hits to World Café Live for a solo show.
