Your guide to Philly's diverse creative scene, nightlife, music, food & more
Earlier this month, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) opened a ground-breaking new exhibition with internationally recognized, Brooklyn-based artist KAWS. Best known for his unique takes on pop iconography like The Simpson and Mickey Mouse, KAWS has installed over 60 new works in PAFA's Historic Landmark Building, and one giant 9-foot sculpure entitled Born To Bend over the building's North Broad Street entrance.
Philly 360° caught up with the international art star during the opening of his KAWS @ PAFA exhibit for an exclusive interview. Want to know what inspires KAWS' wildly imaginative artwork?
