We are a band of artists, musicians, and most importantly, brothers who are writing our way into time's fabric.
We try a lot of beats, a lot of lyrics, a lot of different stuff on stage that other people may be fearful to try, but we go out there and give it 100%.
Why do you live/work in Philly?
The culture. Everything here is within a block from each other. Where there’s food, gear, there’s nice little atmospherics to take a lady out. But you want to still be within your style. It’s conducive. There’s a lot of cultures that meet up here in this area and create the dynamics.
Does the city's storied history factor in to your art?
The cool thing about Rittenhouse Street is that it used to be called Poor Men’s lane. Also on that street was the first African-American school. I believe it was 1809, if not 1909, the first African-American school that was fully staffed and also the population, the students that attended the school were African American.
Do you take inspiration from it?
Anything that walks into the studio, the first thing they talk about is the vibe. Right in Germantown, which is historic to Philadelphia. We pretty much have a loft-ish type of environment, very comfortable. We do all of our creation there and we do a lot of rehearsals there as well. So we spend a lot of time there in the studio, and we do a lot of our meetings there too. It’s a good peace.
